Hedges are the bulk of what we do, and the job we're proudest of.
Straightening up laurel is a genuine skill — those thick, awkward leaves make a clean finish hard to get, and a bad cut leaves a hedge looking chewed for months. Privet that has crept out a foot a year needs reducing in width as well as height. Conifers need judging carefully, because cut too far into old wood they simply won't come back. Yew and topiary need shaping rather than shearing.
We do all of it, from a quick tidy-up trim to taming something that has become more jungle than hedge. Everything comes down onto sheets and leaves with us — you get the finished hedge without a fortnight of clippings blowing round the garden.
"The trees and shrubs were cut back and shaped which made the garden look amazing!"
